This course is all about why physical activity can feel like a foe or an enemy, especially when we are dealing with health conditions that create post-exertional malaise (PEM). We’ll talk about how your relationship with movement may have changed over time and what it’s like right now.
We will:
Acknowledge the reality of the human body's finite physiological energy
Consider and address how to manage PEM
Address the physical, mental, emotional and environmental barriers to physical activity
Explore how to explore the huge variety of movement opportunities, utilising breath and exploring your limits safely
Prepare for ups and downs
Play with new ways to re-engage in movement with new physical approaches and mindsets that respect your body's true capacity at this point in your recovery journey.
