Experiencing the world in this human form can be extremely challenging. The body can experience pain, fatigue and prolonged health challenges and naturally our sense of awe and love for it can fade away. The mind can go in dark places and our appreciation for its creative and discerning capabilities can turn to irritation and rejection.
As we acknowledge that western modern medicine has not yet answered all the questions around chronic invisible illness, this retreat provides an opportunity to explore ancient eastern wisdom which can provide a different lens to view the experience of human suffering and how we can navigate this path.
When we recognise the separation that has occurred within ourSelfs, there is an opportunity to reunite, to come home and find peace again. This day retreat is filled with practices and discussions which allow us to acknowledge the parts of us we’ve fallen out of love with, acknowledge them and then turn to acceptance. From here, we can move towards appreciate and even self love.
